State Sen. Bruce Thompson (R–White) recently attended the fall meeting of the Veteran’s Recruitment Advisory Committee at Kennesaw State University.

Along with other elected officials and active military recruiters, the meeting, held Aug. 7, focused on how KSU can best attract and serve military veterans that are seeking higher education opportunities.
“Our service men and women do so much for our country,” said Senator Thompson. “As part of Georgia’s strong higher education system, Kennesaw State’s Veteran’s Recruitment Advisory Committee performs and outstanding service for their university as well as the entire state.”

The committee includes KSU staff from various departments, current Army and National Guard recruiters, National Guard education officers, members from the U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion, CEO of VetJobs and other members with service related occupations.
The committee is committed to the recruitment and retention of student-veterans.
