Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:
- The senior centers at Zena and Beavers Drive were both heavily damaged during December's cold snap. There is a bit of a dispute with the insurance companies, but once that is resolved, repairs and renovations should take "probably four to six weeks," Bartow County Administrator Peter Olson said. - Chris Mosley, the CEO of Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center has accepted a new job in Florida. Mosley will begin his new job in March and will be working for the healthcare organization that owned Cartersville Medical Center before it was bought out by Piedmont Health System in 2022. - The Pre-K will be changing sites this coming school year. For the 2023-2024 school year, instead of being at Woodland High School, it will be located at the Bartow County College and Career Academy. You can pick up a registration packet at any Bartow County elementary school.
