Shaw Industries Named To '50 Best Companies To Sell For' List

DALTON, GA — Shaw Industries Group, Inc. was recently named to Selling Power magazine's 50 Best Companies To Sell For list. Shaw Industries, which has a presence in Bartow County, ranks 18th on the 2018 list, and is the only flooring manufacturer to make the compilation.

Each year, the corporate research team at the magazine assembles and publishes the list, which represents a variety of company sizes and industries. To gather data, the Selling Power research team issued a comprehensive application with detailed sections covering three categories: compensation and benefits; hiring, sales training, and sales enablement; and customer retention.

Shaw Industries has a considerable footprint in and around Bartow County. In 2017, the company opened its commercial Create Centre in Cartersville, a three-story, 67,000-square-foot facility houses its marketing, design and innovation associates – including its Patcraft and Shaw Contract teams.

In 2016, the company completed construction of a new carpet tile manufacturing facility located in Adairsville. The $85 million facility, which became operational in the fourth quarter of 2016, employs 170 associates and will create a total of 500 new jobs once it reaches full capacity.

This isn't the first national recognition Shaw Industries has received. In May, the company was named to Forbes magazine's 2018 list of America's Best Employers.

Shaw employs about 12,00 sales associates globally, and supports them at every stage of their
career with multi-dimensional training and development. Embedded in this training is reinforcement of
Shaw’s customer-centric approach and a focus on helping customers achieve their objectives and grow
their business. The company provides more than 1 million hours of training to associates, including the
salesforce, annually.
