Spring Benefit Helps Fight Child Abuse In Bartow County
Advocates for Children's 10th annual event will be held March 24 at the Cartersville Country Club.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The 10th annual Advocates for Children Spring Benefit will be held on Saturday, March 24 at the Cartersville Country Club. The Spring Benefit, which starts at 6 p.m., is one of Advocates’ two largest fundraising events. Last year’s benefit drew more than 200 guests and netted more than $100,000 to support the organization’s work with children and families.
Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception while they mingle in the silent auction area and place bids using their mobile phones. Following a seated dinner, Kevin Daniels and Kevin Karel will emcee a raffle and live auction. Throughout the evening, guests will learn more about how their financial support directly impacts the organization’s work on the front lines treating child abuse and neglect, as well as its prevention and education efforts.
A committee led by co-chairs Kellie Bevans and Mandy Moore has been gathering auction items, recruiting sponsors, and planning event details over the last five months (For more news like this, find your local Patch here. “We are excited to see the end result,” said Moore. “It will be great to see the event come together, and even more gratifying to know that the funds we’re raising will support the children and families who are served by Advocates.”
Committee members are Jamie Chandler, Kayla Cole, Lindsey Heath, Kory McDaniel and Leah Phillips.
