Here are the top three stories in Cartersville today:
- For those in need, the Bartow County School District and Bless Coalition's Supplies for Success registration is now open. Those who need school supplies, backpacks, pens and pencils, haircuts, and more will be able to receive them for free upon registration. Pickup for the supplies will be on Jul. 22, 23, and 28 at different locations listed at the link. For more information, click here. (Bartow Schools via Twitter)
- A new business will open in Atlanta West on Jun. 1 that will bring new jobs to the area and service Cartersville. Purchase Green Artificial Grass, North America's largest artificial grass supplier, will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. - Bartow County police are continuing the search to find the person responsible for the murder of a man in Cartersville last week. Caleb Demond Thomas, 19, was found on Tuesday near Parkway Station Drive SE. He later died from his injuries at Piedmont Cartersville Hospital. The sheriff's office has asked for community members to share any information they may have. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
