T-SPLOST List Nears Completion
Set to meet again July 27, the executive committee will fine tune the list completed Thursday. The roundtable has until Aug. 15 to finish.

The regional transportation roundtable’s five-member executive committee has selected the projects for the Transporation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax voters will decide in the July 2012 primary election, Rome News-Tribune reports here.
The 1-cent regional transportation sales tax, if approved by voters on a regional basis, would fund the top priority road projects in the 15 northwest Georgia counties included in the $1.1 billion draft package.
In Bartow County, projects that made the list include Phase III of the Old Alabama Road relocation, the U.S. 411 Connector and Douthit Ferry Road improvements.
