Tara Grinstead: Search Underway For Georgia Teacher’s Remains
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the search is being conducted in Ben Hill County.

BEN HILL COUNTY, GA -- A search is underway to find the remains of a former teacher and beauty queen who was last seen more than 10 years ago in south Georgia.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has confirmed to Patch that crews are actively searching a site in Ben Hill County for any signs that Tara Grinstead could have been buried at that targeted location.
Agency spokesperson Nelly Miles could not provide to Patch an exact location of the search. Ben Hill County is just north of Irwin County, which is where Grinstead lived and worked before she was reported missing in October 2005.
