"It has been a couple of years since the Bard has tread the boards of any stage around here, and we felt it was important to bring Shakespeare back to Cartersville and Bartow County," said TheatreExtreme Co-Executive Director Meghann Humphreys.
For their charity spotlight, TheatreExtreme will be collecting donations at each show for Bartow Give a Kid a Chance.
“The Downtown Development Authority is excited about the partnership as well as the performance,” said DDA Manager Lillie Read. “We want to encourage people to hold events downtown and we are looking forward to seeing TheatreExtreme’s take on this Shakespearian classic.”
TheatreExtreme, Inc. was founded in October 2014 by Christopher Lee Gentry and Meghann K. Humphreys. The two were inspired to bring a different way of experiencing theatre to their community by producing cutting edge, classic and musical productions in various locations.
