Threat of Rain Forces Cartersville To Postpone First Friday
The threat of rain and thunderstorms has forced the Cartersville to postpone its First Friday event on Aug. 1.

The First Friday concert and other festivities planned for Friday, Aug. 1 at Friendship Plaza have been postponed due to the threat of rain and thunderstorms, the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority said in a press release.
Of course, residents and visitors are still encouraged to come downtown and enjoy the many shops and restaurants open until 8 p.m. or later.

Contact has been made with Celebration, A Tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, and a new date for the event is currently being explored.
