Tour of Homes Offers Cartersville Residents View of Historic Cassville
The Etowah Valley Historical Society will hold its annual Tour of Homes this weekend.

Cartersvile and Bartow County residents this weekend will be able to learn all about historic sites in the Cassville community.
The Etowah Valley Historical Society will host its “Before and After Sherman” tour, which will mark the sesquicentennial of the Civil War’s presence in Bartow County.
The tours will take from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2. Tickets are $15 each and are available to purchase until 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the historical society’s office at the Gold Dome Courthouse, which are located at 115 West Cherokee Avenue in Cartersville.

On the days of the tour, tickets can be purchased at The Heritage Room, which sits across the street from Cass Grocery at 1810 Cassville Road.
Each ticket will contain a list of properties — five homes and one church — on the tour.

Places on the tour include: Holt Home at 261 Cass-White Road; Hardy-Watkins Home at 279 Cass-White Road; Wynn Home at 143 Cass-White Road; Vest Home at 52 Latimer Lane; Horton Home at 26 Starlight Drive; and Cassville United Methodist Church at 52 Church Street.
A shuttle will be provided from The Heritage Room to the church and homes on the tour.
