Tracy Lynn Owens, 51, Loved Fishing and Decorating Her Home

Tracy Lynn Owens, age 51, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015.

Tracy was born on Jan. 4, 1964, in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late Jerry David Huskins and Betty Whitener Huskins.

Tracy absolutely loved fishing with her son, Brandon, anywhere they could find water. She participated in fishing tournaments all over the state of Georgia and also Lake Weiss, Alabama.

When she wasn’t fishing, she spent time decorating the inside of her home. She was known to all as a people person and family and friends were her pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Maggie and David Whitener and Jim and Naeomi Huskins.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Whitener Huskins of White, GA; sons, Brandon and Brett Owens of White, GA; daughter, Brooke Owens of White, GA; sister, Vickie Hilley (Don) of Cartersville, GA; nephew, Brent Hilley (Christa) of Cartersville, GA.

A Celebration of Life Service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Huskins and Rev. Doug Vernon officiating. Interment immediately followed at White Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at Owen Funeral Home.
