Video: Artist's Classes Offer Hope
Diane Vehar, who lost her husband in 2010 and is in her second battle with cancer, teaches the community how painting can provide relief amid sickness and mourning.
Sickness. The loss of a loved one. Being alone in the early morning hours when you can't sleep.
Such struggles are what Diane Vehar encourages those who attend to paint as backgrounds in the form of random brushstrokes going this way and that.
Then, for the foreground, she recommends a solid focal point that offers inspiration, like a cross or pink breast cancer ribbon, as well as related words—hope, faith, love.
