This past Sunday, we had church at FBC Emerson.
We had two ladies and a teenage girl lead us in worship. We sang some new songs and some old songs. We took an offering. I preached a message, we had fellowship with one another then, we went our respected ways. We didn't have a great light show or a powerful music show. Our crowd was down some.. but, we still had worship.
I mention all that because although we didn't have a "lightning came down from heaven" worship service, we still had worship. I stress that because if we aren't careful, we can begin to think that if the music wasn't better than last week and the light show wasn't "awesome" and the crowds were not "overwhelming" some feel they didn't worship. Not so.

Worship is not about powerful music or great lighting or tremendous crowds. There is nothing wrong with any of those but, you can worship w/out them. You can gather in the basement of a house, sing a few songs accapella, listen to a Bible study, have prayer and leave and you have worshipped.
Worship isn't about the performance... the show... the crowds... it's about the creator. And, we worship every day by living for Christ. Worship the Lord today.
