What's Open, Closed On Memorial Day In Bartow County?
All state and federal offices will be closed Monday, May 29 in observance of the holiday.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The three-day Memorial Day weekend serves as a time when Americans officially pay our respect to veterans who've made the ultimate sacrifice serving this country. We also use this time to kick back, fire up the grill and enjoy laughs and catch up with our friends and loved ones.
And if you think the men and women responsible for operating non-emergency functions of government won't take advantage of this unofficial start of the summer season, then you were sorely mistaken.
Government offices for Bartow County as well as the cities of Adairsville, Cartersville, Emerson, Euharlee and Kingston will close on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.

Additionally, trash service in Cartersville will be delayed one day. If you want to make a trip to your three branches of the Bartow County Library System, then you will have to wait until Tuesday, as the Cartersville, Adairsville and Euharlee facilities will be closed.
The Cartersville City and Bartow County school systems have closed out their school years. Georgia Highlands College's Cartersville and Chattahoochee Technical College's North Metro campuses are also taking the day off.

Of course, the Bartow County Health Department, along with other state and federal offices, won't open due to the holiday. The United States Postal Service won't deliver mail Monday, as it's one of the agency's observed holidays.
Finally, banking institutions and the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce will also be closed.
