What's Open, Closed On Thanksgiving 2021 In Cartersville

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Thanksgiving may be different again this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But something that hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Cartersville for the holiday.

While Thanksgiving is a federal holiday, some services may continue their closures on Friday. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 26 (Black Friday).

• City of Cartersville: Offices are closed on Thursday and Friday. For specific information, visit Cartersville's website.
• Bartow County government offices: Bartow County government offices are closed on Thursday and Friday. More information can be found on the Bartow County website.
• Bartow County Schools and Cartersville City Schools are both off Nov. 22-26.
• Libraries: All Bartow County libraries are closed Thursday and Friday.
• Trash and recycling pickup: Thursday and Friday trash pick-up by the City of Cartersville will be postponed until Monday, Nov. 29. Monday trash pick-up will be postponed until Tuesday, Nov. 30. For other commercial trash pick-up services, check with your provider.
• Tellus Science Museum: Closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving. Visit the Tellus website for more information.

• Post offices: This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Friday, Nov. 26.
• Banks: Banks will be closed.
• Grocery store hours vary.
