What's Open, Closed Thanksgiving Week In Bartow County

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- Most government offices and lots of businesses will be closing this week in Bartow County as we observe Thanksgiving.

Here's a rundown of what's open and what's closed in Bartow for Thanksgiving 2017:

• All Bartow County government offices, except law enforcement and others required for citizen comfort and safety, will be closed Thursday and Friday. County offices will resume normal operations on Monday.
• Cartersville City and Bartow County schools are on holiday Monday through Friday.
• Bartow County Public Library branches will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• Georgia state offices, including driver's services, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed Thursday.
• City offices, including Adairsville, Cartersville, Euharlee, Emerson, White and Kingston, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• Trash pickup for city of Cartersville customers will not occur Nov. 23-24; Thanksgiving pick up and regular Friday and Monday route for garbage and recycling only will be moved to Nov. 27.
