GOVERNMENT

City of Cartersville and Bartow County government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Police, fire and other services essential for public safety will remain open. City and county offices will resume regular hours Tuesday, Jan. 20.

SCHOOLS

Classes will be cancelled and school and offices will be closed for Cartersville City and Bartow County school systems. Both will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Classes are cancelled and offices will be closed for Chattahoochee Technical College’s North Metro Campus and Georgia Highlands College’s Cartersville campus. Both will resume a normal schedule on Tuesday.

POSTAL SERVICE

Mail service from the United States Postal Service will not run on Monday, but will resume deliveries and collections Jan. 20.

LIBRARIES

The Bartow County Public Library System will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday.
