Winners Named In Every Child's A Star Talent Show

The annual event is a fundraiser for Cartersville-based Advocates For Children.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- On March 5, the young stars of Bartow County filled Cass High School Performing Arts Center with their spin on entertainment and talent as part of the 23rd Every Child's a Star fundraiser.

The event, which benefits Cartersville-based Advocates for Children, allows performers to share their talents in a bid to help the young clients of the programs and services of the organization.

The performers did not disappoint, and provided a wonderful night of talent from singing duets to piano, theatrical, dance, solos, instrumentals and more.

The panel of judges had a tough job selecting the winners, as every person who walked out on the stage is a winner for the giving of their time and talents to benefit others.

Those selected as category winners for this year’s Every Child’s a Star include:

  • Elementary Vocal: Raius Mitchell
  • Elementary Drama: Brianna & Brent Lee
  • Elementary Dance: Claire Hamm & Gracie Brown
  • Elementary Overall: Raius Mitchell
  • Middle School Vocal: Jessica & Kayla Briggs
  • Middle School Instrumental: Carter Ray
  • Middle School Overall: Jessica & Kayla Briggs
  • High School Vocal: Abigail Privette
  • High School Instrumental: Priscilla Joseph & Emilee Hoerl
  • High School Dance: Walter Thomas & Jamal Tart
  • High School Drama: Caitlyn Gallagher
  • High School Overall: Caitlyn Gallagher
  • Grand Overall: Raius Mitchell

Advocates for Children served over 3,000 children and families in 2015 and expects to serve at least the same amount, if not more, in 2016. Along with grants and donations, the organization is fully dependent on money raised at events such as Every Child's A Star.
