Woman Charged With Assaulting Bartow County Jail Inmates

The sheriff's office notes the woman is not an employee of the agency, but that of a contracted vendor.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A employee of a contracted vendor for the Bartow County Jail has been charged with sexually assaulting inmates in custody.

Jail records show 36-year-old Deidra Ann Rahe of Leesburg was booked into the facility Jan. 6 on two charges of sexual assault against persons in custody, possession of marijuana with intent and crossing of guard lines with drugs.

Sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan White said Rahe was not an employee of the sheriff's office. He noted he could not provide any additional details "due to the nature of the incident."

Records show Rahe was booked into the facility around 9:37 a.m.
