Woman Found Dead of Apparent Gunshot Wound in Adairsville
Police have called in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to assist with the case, which stemmed from a suicide threat call made Wednesday.

The Adairsville Police Department is investigating an incident in which a woman was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a suicide threat call at 10:58 a.m. June 10 on Poplar Springs Road. When they arrived onto the scene, officers discovered the woman’s body, the agency said Wednesday afternoon.
Adairsville police detectives are investigating the death with the help of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. GBI spokesperson Sherry Lang said the agency is assisting Adairsville police with the crime scene aspect of the incident.
