Woman Says Gunshot Shattered Car Window
The woman told the Bartow sheriff's deputy she was driving Saturday evening when she heard the shot and her back window shatter.

ACWORTH, GA — A woman called police last weekend to report someone shot out her rear driver's side window while she was driving in Bartow County.
A deputy with the Bartow County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a home in the 5900 block of Dogwood Drive SE in Acworth. The officer met with the woman, who said she was driving on Glade Road when she heard a gunshot and the back window shatter.
According to an incident report released by the Sheriff's Office, the driver said she was making a left turn on to Glade Road from Apache Drive around 10 p.m. Saturday, April 14 when the incident occurred.

Upon hearing the noise, she told the deputy she did not see anyone in the area. A check of the vehicle did not unearth a bullet or bullet fragments inside the 2012 Nissan Sentra.

Glass was also found at the intersection of Glade Road and Apache Drive, however, the report notes. The woman was provided a case number to use in any follow-ups with investigators. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Bartow County Sheriff's Office at 770-382-5050.
