Workshop Introduces Quilting To Cartersville Residents

A Stitch In Time Quilting Workshop will be held on Feb. 20 at the Bartow History Museum.

Cartersville, GA -- Residents are invited to join the Bartow History Museum and the Etowah Valley Quilt Guild for an exploration of quilting.

Both entities will kick off the event with a lecture on American quilting history from quilter Shelby Morris. Then, each guest will participate in one of two quilting workshops: one designed for experienced quilters and another for beginners (first-timers welcome).

A Stitch In Time Quilting Workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 20.

Participants will gain basic or broadened quilting skills and will practice level-appropriate hand stitching and quilting techniques under the instruction of EVQG quilters.

Fabric and other materials will be provided by the museum and event sponsor Red Hen Fabrics of Marietta. The registration fee is $35 and preregistration is required.
