• No injuries in minor school bus accident in White County (nowgeorgia.com) — A school bus carrying Jack P. Nix Elementary students was involved in a minor crash Tuesday at Highway 115 and Old Clarkesville Road in Cleveland, but no injuries were reported. Cleveland police and Georgia State Patrol secured and investigated the scene while school leaders responded, and students were safely transferred to another bus and taken home, drawing praise for community and public safety support.
   

• Man accused of shooting woman in the face (wsbtv.com) — Deputies responded to a shooting on Lothridge Road in Cleveland, where a woman was wounded in the face but is now recovering at a regional hospital. Investigators quickly identified 41‑year‑old Andrew Landrum Waddell as the suspect, later arresting him with help from neighboring counties; he remains jailed in White County without bond on an aggravated assault charge.
   

• White County Commissioners Approve Road Improvement Project List (wrwh.com) — White County commissioners meeting in Cleveland have approved a multi‑road improvement list and updated the county's hazard mitigation plan, steps that will shape future infrastructure work around Cleveland.
