📰 News we're reading

• As AI images become common, the threat to elections draws alarm: 'How will voters know what's true?' (rocketnews.com) — A fake AI-generated image of College Park Mayor Bianca Motley Broom circulating on Facebook is being used as a key example in growing national worries about deepfakes and elections. Lawmakers, including Georgia's Raphael Warnock, are debating how to regulate AI-generated political content, but Georgia still lacks specific deepfake disclosure laws, leaving local officials and voters more exposed to misleading imagery.
