• Coaches, players suspended after fight cancels football game (wsbtv.com subscription) — Two Conyers high schools, Rockdale County and Heritage, had their football game canceled after a pregame fight led to suspensions for both head coaches and several players, plus fines for each school. The Georgia High School Association says the penalties are meant to reinforce sportsmanship, and school leaders now have a week to decide whether to appeal the decision.
