CUMMING, GA — The Forsyth County community is able to benefit local families through FoCo Gives, an initiative county officials on Thursday said will help children and adults during the holidays.
Through FoCo Gives, there are multiple ways donors can assist families for the upcoming holiday season.
See below:
- One part of the campaign is Aerial's House Toy Collection, organized by the Forsyth County Fire Department.
Donations are requested for the 24th annual event, which will benefit youths from newborns to those who are age 18.
New, unwrapped toys and coats that are new or gently worn are being accepted for children and adults through Dec. 9.
Donation sites are as follows: any Forsyth County fire station, the FCFD headquarters at 3520 Settingdown Road, any Forsyth County Public Library location and the Forsyth County Freedom Parkway administration building.
- FoCo Gives also includes multiple holiday giving opportunities through Forsyth County Senior Services.
Older adults can benefit from the 2026 Meals on Wheels, senior support and holiday gift programs.
Under Meals on Wheels, residents can sponsor meals and visits that include safety checks for homebound older adults, county officials said. Sponsorships are available throughout the year.
Holiday meals will be distributed, starting Thanksgiving Day and ending New Year's Day.
Monetary donations are being collected for the senior support program, which will provide aid for adults who are considered to be low income or those who are isolated and older, county officials said.
Food, housing, home safety modifications and medical equipment are part of the offered support.
- Residents can also take part in the Holiday Angel gift program.
Personalized gift request tags that feature the names of older adults, as well as a gift list of necessities and personal names can be chosen.
Residents have until Friday, Dec. 4, to buy gifts for the program.
