Big Creek Greenway Section To Begin Closing Periodically Monday
The patch of Big Creek Greenway in Forsyth County will close from time to time to accommodate roadwork in the area.

CUMMING, GA β A section of the Big Creek Greenway in Forsyth County will be periodically closing beginning Monday due to nearby roadwork.
The section, between mile markers 8.3 and 8.5, is being impacted by the road widening project along Bethelview Road and the required bridge removal and replacement construction over Big Creek.
While the Georgia Department of Transportationβs contractor, CMES, Inc., completes this work, a section of the Big Creek Greenway β which passes beneath the Bethelview Road Bridge β will be temporarily closed for the safety of those using the trail.

The temporary closures will occur periodically for no more than three consecutive days per closure. The contractor has agreed to keep the Greenway open on the weekends, and the county's engineering department is working with the contractor to limit the number of closures.
It is estimated that the project of removing and replacing the bridge will take approximately two months, weather permitting.
