Carrington Academy Students Deliver Food to Local Nonprofit

Students held a food drive and delivered the donations to Meals by Grace

Students from Carrington Academy on Majors Road in Cumming recently delivered a donation of more than 600 food items to Meals by Grace. Throughout November, students hosted a food drive to help stock the organization’s shelves and provide meals to those in need during the holiday season. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back and helping others in their community.

Meals by Grace partners with school social workers to identify children who come to school hungry on a regular basis. Hot meals and shelf-stable foods are then delivered to the children, so they can eat during the week, on weekends and during school breaks.
