Like clockwork, when the temperatures rise in metro Atlanta, the air quality promptly free falls. The same is holding true this summer.

A Code Orange alert has been issued for metro Atlanta for Wednesday, June 17, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

β€œChildren, people who are sensitive to ozone, and people with heart or lung disease should limit prolonged outdoor exertion during the late afternoon or early evening when ozone concentrations are highest,” the alert said.
