Family Fun Fest, Haunted Trail Planned In Forsyth

The event will be held at the Sawnee Mountain Preserve Visitor Center.

CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County Parks & Recreation is planning some Halloween fun for later this month.

The first-ever Family Fun Fest and Haunted Trail is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Sawnee Mountain Preserve Visitor Center. The free event will feature crafts, games and nature-themed activities.

There also will be a Halloween costume contest for all ages and a haunted trail, designed for visitors 8 years old and older.

"We are very excited to welcome the community to Sawnee Mountain Preserve for the first Family Fun Fest and Haunted Trail event," said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor. "We’re looking forward to a great evening of Halloween fun for the whole family."

The event will be from 6-9 p.m., with the costume contest at 6:30 p.m. and the haunted trail beginning at 7 p.m.
