ICYMI: 'Food Trucks 'N' Forsyth' Moved To May 23

The event was pushed back so organizers can bring in even more food trucks.

CUMMING, GA -- Apparently, Forsyth County was ready to chow down.

After massive crowds at its inaugural monthly event, the next Food Trucks 'N' Forsyth event at Lanier Tech is being moved back to so organizers can bring in more trucks.

The food truck rally will next be held May 23 at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center.

Additional rallies are planned for June 20 and July 18. At each, trucks serving dinner and dessert will be in the center's parking lot from 5-8 p.m.

Anna Barlow, director of tourism for the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, told the Forsyth County News that crowds for the inaugural rally on April 18 were so big that some people complained about the long lines.

There will be three additional dinner trucks and one more dessert truck at the May 23 gathering, she said.

The date had to be pushed back to meet the state health department's 30-day permit deadline.

The rallies also will feature live music and tethered hot-air balloon rides. Some tables are set up, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs to sit.
