Forsyth Shelter To Accept Animals On Saturdays

The shelter provides animal adoptions Tuesday through Saturday and now will accept strays and owner surrenders on Saturdays.

CUMMING, GA — The Forsyth County Animal Shelter will now accept stray drop-offs and owner surrenders on Saturdays, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Stray drop-offs and owner surrenders will still be offered weekdays Tuesday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"After receiving requests by residents that the shelter accept stray drop-offs and owner surrenders beyond our weekday hours, we added the staff support to begin providing this service on Saturday mornings," said acting Animal Shelter Manager Steve Zaring. "We thank the community for embracing the county’s animal shelter and considering the shelter when adopting a cat or dog."
