Douglas County Coroner Renee Godwin is under fire, but officials disagree about whether problems outlined in a report justify removing her from office. A grand jury recommended that Godwin be removed from her elected office; problems cited include failure to report child deaths, expense issues and the smell of decaying bodies in the courthouse.

AJC Demands Disclaimer For 'Richard Jewell' Movie
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is fighting back against claims made in a new Clint Eastwood movie portraying the paper's coverage of the 1996 Olympic bombing in Atlanta. The film's portrayal of the event could cause "devastating harm to the reputations of the AJC and its hard-working journalists," the paper said in a statement to film makers.
Public Funding Ends For Old Soldiers Day Parade
After being sued by individuals affiliated with the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the City of Alpharetta voted to end public funding for the city's annual Old Soldiers Day Parade.
