Librarians Celebrated In Forsyth County
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners has proclaimed April 9 as National Library Workers Day in Forsyth County.

CUMMING, GA -- Librarians in Forsyth County are being honored for their hardwork and dedication.
During their meeting on Thursday, April 4, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners proclaimed April 9 as National Library Workers Day in Forsyth County in honor of the Forsyth County Public LibraryForsyth County Public Library staff and volunteers for their dedication and outstanding service in the community.
The county’s library staff and volunteers strengthen the community by curating a collection of relevant print and digital materials to promote the exchange of information and ideas, the release said.

In 2017, there were more than 600,000 visits to library branches, more than 2,420,000 items checked out, and more than 250,000 information questions answered by staff. More than 110,000 patrons attended library programs.
Forsyth County Public Library currently offers more than 400,000 materials for patrons to check out or use in the branches, including books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, magazines, newspapers and a growing eLibrary collection featuring eBooks, eAudiobooks, eVideos, eMagazines, and eResources.
