A DeKalb County mother is facing criminal charges after she allegedly left her 1-year-old girl in a hot car last month outside a hair salon. Twenty-five-year-old Dijanelle Fowler is charged with child neglect and second-degree murder in the mid-June death of her daughter, Skylar Fowler.

Woman Left Dog In Hot SUV Outside Walmart In Cobb: Police

An Acworth mother was arrested after allegedly leaving a dog in a hot SUV outside a store earlier this month, Patch has learned. Although another adult and a number of children were with her, Cameta Hibbert was booked into the Cobb Detention Center, according to news reports. In the July 11 incident, Coco the Chihuahua's yelping and panting outside the Walmart on Cobb Parkway was seen by a passerby, who waited 20 minutes before calling authorities.
