Motorcycle Rider Killed in Cumming Crash

The single-vehicle crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday on the Buford Dam Road bridge.

CUMMING, GA β€” A Cumming man was killed in a single-vehicle crash this weekend when he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a guard rail.

Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies say Donald Stone, 52, was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle on the Buford Dam Road bridge over Ga. 400 at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Investigators believe the motorcycle had an engine malfunction, causing a large amount of oil to spray from the engine onto the roadway. That, authorities say, caused Stone to lose control of the motorcycle.
