CUMMING, GA -- Friday is National Doughnut Day, so Cumming residents have a chance to get a free doughnut today.
In WWI, soldiers were given free doughnuts by groups of women, so, to honor the act of kindness, we now have National Doughnut Day on the first Friday of every June. There are a couple places in Cumming offering sweet deals for the holiday.
Dunkin Donuts locations at 1165 Buford Hwy, 521 Peachtree Pkwy and 3275 Keith Bridge Rd. are offering a free doughnut to customers with the purchase of a drink.
