PHOTO: Forsyth Cub Scouts Visit With County Commissioner

The scouts were learning about local government and citizenship as they worked toward a new badge.

CUMMING, GA β€” A pack of Cub Scouts got a look at what local government is like, and made some progress toward a merit badge on Monday.

Scouts with Pack 107 of the Boy Scouts of America visited the Forsyth County administration building to learn about local government and citizenship.

During the visit, the scouts met with Forsyth County Commission vice-chairwoman Cindy Jones Mills, who gave them an overview of county government and the services it provides.

The scouts, who are out of Vickery Creek Elementary School, were working on their Building a Better World adventure, part of earning their Arrow of Light badge.
