Police: Georgia Man Puts Wife's Eye Out With Cellphone
Timothy Roger Broome faces charges including aggravated battery and cruelty to children.
GAINESVILLE, GA — A Hall County man was arrested Sunday after striking his wife with a cellphone, causing her to lose an eye.
Timothy Roger Broome, 35, of Broome Road, faces charges of aggravated battery, cruelty to children and probation violation.
Broome was arrested Sunday after an investigation that police say showed he threw the cellular phone at his wife, striking her in the face and badly damaging her eye.

This was done in the presence of an 11 year old, police said.
Broome was arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County Jail.
