Watch: Live 5-Piece Jazz Band Wakes Girl for School

Radio station sends unusual wake-up call to 10-year-old Sophie for her school.

It’s safe to say Sophie, a 10-year-old Cumming resident, is going to be a lot more cooperative in the morning from here on out.

Before this week, dragging Sophie out of bed so she could get ready for school was a source of endless aggrevation for her mother.

So, with the help of local radio morning show β€œThe Bert Show” on Q100, her mother decided to teach her daughter a lesson before her first day of school even began.

The show came up with the idea to send a five-piece jazz band into Sophie’s room to wake her for the first day of school on Tuesday, and video taken by employees of the show indicates the plan worked to perfection.

Sophie appeared as stunned and confused as you’d imagine when her head shot off her pillow, and the band played for about a minute.

The icing on the cake comes at the end of the video when Sophie is given a phone by her mother and finds herself in conversation with radio host Bert Weiss.

He asked, β€œAre you up now?” She replied with a simple, β€œYeah.”

After exchanging laughs, the hosts joke that they’ll send the band back every time Sophie is fussy about getting up in the morning.

Her reply? β€œI guess I’ll have to buy some earplugs.”

Good luck in school this year, Sophie. Check out the full video,Β courtesy of β€œThe Bert Show” on Facebook.
