Traffic Alert: Gas Main Line Break Blocking Traffic on Old Atlanta Road

CUMMING, GA — A main gas line break on Old Atlanta Road was blocking traffic in Cumming on Friday morning.

At about 11 a.m., the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office reported that the road was closed at the intersections of Nichols Road and Windermere Parkway.

Traffic was being diverted down Nichols Road and Windermere Parkway to GA 20, the officer said in a social media post.

Anyone traveling in the area Friday should expect delays, authorities said.
