Two Arrested During Forsyth Car Theft

Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene and interrupt the theft while it was still in progress, they say.

CUMMING, GA β€” Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies were able to interrupt a vehicle theft in progress Sunday night, arresting two suspects and recovering two stolen cars.

A citizen called deputies to the Shake Rag Farms subdivision on McGinnis Ferry Road. There, they were able to engage the suspected thieves and a chase ensued.

"This is why calling 911 is so important when you see something wrong," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.

Two suspects were jailed in the incident and two stolen cars returned to their owners. The sheriff's office says at least one more suspect was able to get away in another stolen vehicles.

Numerous other cars in the area were discovered to have been broken into, deputies said.
