Weekend Closure of Ga. 400 Lane Canceled
The northbound lane was to have been continuously closed starting Friday for construction.
CUMMING, GA — The planned weekend closure of a northbound lane on Ga. 400 has been canceled, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced Friday.
The department did not give a reason for the cancellation, but the area's weather forecast calls for a chance of thunderstorms all weekend long.
Georgia Department of Transportation contractors had planned to continuously close a single northbound lane between MacFarland Parkway and SR 141/Peachtree Parkway.

The closure was to begin Friday night at 9 p.m. and last until midnight on Monday.
Workers and heavy equipment would have been in close proximity to the roadway, the DOT said in a news release.
