What's Open, Closed in Forsyth County on Columbus Day 2016

County government offices are closed Monday, but schools are not.

CUMMING, GA β€” Columbus Day is an odd holiday, in that some of your usual holiday closings happen, and some don't.

Here's a brief rundown of what's open, and what's not, in Forsyth County.

Government offices
It's a federal holiday, so federal, state and local government offices will be closed.

Schools
Forsyth County Schools are in session as usual on Monday.

Libraries
Monday is a staff training day. All library branches will be closed.

Post offices

There will be no mail delivery Monday and post office branches will be closed.

Banks
Most banks will be closed for Columbus Day, though you may find some exceptions. Wells Fargo banks will be open, though some services will be limited.

Grocery and retail stores
Most retailers, including grocery stores, will be open normal hours on Monday
