What's Open, Closed On Thanksgiving 2021 In Cumming
Many services in Cumming are closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, and some will remain closed Friday.
CUMMING, GA — Thanksgiving may be different again this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But something that hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Cumming for the holiday.
While Thanksgiving is a federal holiday, some services may continue their closures on Friday. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 26 (Black Friday).
- Forsyth County government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. This includes county offices, the animal shelter, Senior Services, the three recreation centers and the three recycling convenience centers.
- All Forsyth County Library locations will close at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24 and remain closed Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 in observance of Thanksgiving. The branches will reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27.
- Forsyth County Schools are off from Nov. 22-26.
- Municipal offices for Cumming will be closed Thursday and Friday. City Hall and all other non-essential departments and facilities will be closed.
- This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices
- will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Friday, Nov. 26
- Banks will be closed.
- Grocery store hours vary.
