• Businessman allegedly bilked trucking investors of $105.9M (truckingdive.com) — Two trucking companies based in Dacula are at the center of federal allegations that Nevada businessman Kristopher Lunsford ran a massive Ponzi scheme, drawing in hundreds of investors nationwide. Prosecutors say the Dacula-linked firms promised unusually high returns on truck leases while most funds allegedly went to earlier investors and personal use; Lunsford remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
