Today's riddle: What do you get when you cross an angry cow with an angry sheep? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Old school house suspected to be site of spectral activity (thedahloneganugget.com) — A historic Airbnb cottage just outside Dahlonega is drawing attention for its rumored ghostly activity, explored recently by Dahlonega Walking Tours and a local psychic medium. The investigation blended town history, family stories, and modern paranormal tools as guests searched for evidence of lingering energy in what's believed to be the old Halfway School, a cherished sanctuary for its current owner.
• 25th anniversary: 9/11 observances planned (wgtjradio.com) — Dahlonega residents can join a 9/11 remembrance ceremony Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on the University of North Georgia drill field, featuring Col. Christian Durham as keynote speaker. The observance is part of a broader set of regional tributes, including events in Gainesville and Forsyth County honoring first responders and victims 25 years after the attacks.
• UNG prepares students for evolving workforce (ung.edu) — Students in and around Dahlonega will see new opportunities as the University of North Georgia launches its Institute for a Future Ready Workforce, focusing on AI, drones, and emerging technologies. University leaders, military experts, and industry partners like Amazon Web Services are collaborating to better prepare graduates for rapidly changing civilian and military careers.
