• NGPG welcomes new doctor to Dahlonega office (wgtjradio.com) — A new primary care physician, Dr. Julia Mattingly, is joining Northeast Georgia Physicians Group's Dahlonega office, expanding local options for everyday medical care. With a background in family medicine and a strong focus on listening to patients, she brings training from Mercer University and Piedmont Columbus Regional to serve Dahlonega-area residents seeking a long-term doctor-patient relationship.
• Made in the Mountains (gbj.com) — Dahlonega residents can join the Northeast Georgia Arts Tour November 6–8, with the Dahlonega Arts Alliance Gallery offering work from 25 artists plus "Drop in and Paint" activities. The self-guided tour stretches across six northeast Georgia counties and nearby North Carolina, highlighting pottery, glass, heritage crafts, and museums. Visitors are encouraged to plan a manageable route and check venue hours in advance.
• Former Hall County investigator arrested for alleged Flock misuse (fox5atlanta.com) — A Dahlonega resident and former Hall County Sheriff's Office investigator, Justin Brown, has been arrested on charges that he misused the Flock license plate reader system and violated his oath of office. The GBI says Brown accessed cameras for non-law-enforcement reasons amid broader internal audits that have already led to multiple terminations, other criminal cases, and a recall push against the Hall County sheriff.
