The Dalton Daily Citizen is launching "The Budget Book," a rolling, data-driven project to explain local budgets, salaries, tax terms, and real-world household impacts so Dalton residents can better understand and respond to these financial decisions.
• Dalton Police Officer, Firefighter Promoted (chattanoogan.com) — Dalton residents have two newly promoted public safety leaders, as Sergeant Ben Ridley of the Dalton Police Department and Lieutenant Jake Warnix of the Dalton Fire Department were formally recognized by the Public Safety Commission. Both bring years of service, specialized training, and commendations that strengthen the city's police investigations and advanced fire and rescue capabilities.
• Volleyball Recap: Myah York Leads Dade County to Win (maxpreps.com) — Dalton Academy's volleyball team continues a tough season, falling 2-0 to Dade County and extending a long losing streak as they sit at 0-24. Local fans still have a chance to cheer them on soon, with the Pumas set to host Gordon Central at home on Thursday.
