• Ringgold man sentenced to 30 years for trafficking methamphetamine (wdef.com) — A major meth trafficking case tied to Whitfield County and involving the Dalton Police Department has ended with a 30-year sentence for a Ringgold man. Investigators say a joint task force seized more than three pounds of meth and secured the defendant's sixth felony conviction, with 15 years to be served in state prison and strict probation to follow.
   

• Brenau named a '2026 Great College to Work For' (wgtjradio.com) — Dalton State College has been named one of only two Georgia institutions on the 2026 "Great College to Work For" list, alongside Brenau University. The recognition is based largely on employee feedback about workplace policies, supervision, and overall well-being, highlighting Dalton's local college as a strong employer in higher education.
